Greetings Friends,
We have a new episode out today with Kevin Sweeney who talks to us about his amazing book, “The Joy of Letting Go” (← Click the link to view / buy the book). I recorded this episode before my father passed away and forgot how moving both this conversation and Kevin’s book are … especially listening back in light of what I’ve had to let go of over these past few months.
I haven’t “let go” of my dad, right? I believe he’s still here. I still have my memories. I feel like he communicates with me on a fairly regular basis through birds and music and blowing wind chimes and Starbucks Frappuccinos (inside story).
BUT.
I have had to let go of his physical presence - it’s something I’ll never, ever get back … something that breaks my heart in all sorts of ways 💔.
“The Joy of Letting Go” doesn’t fix my pain or even make it better; BUT it does provide a slightly different perspective on loss and grief and “letting go” that has been helpful for me.
Maybe it will be for you to?
